Seagulls~World Bird Wednesday~022912

You know, even here in the desert we have seagulls, especially near the Salton Sea.  Sometimes we also see them flying the thermals near Joshua Tree National Park.  So, last weekend, we saw lots of seagulls at the ocean by Laguna Beach.  At one spot, they were flying right above us and we had to dive for cover!  It was like the movie, "The Birds"! By the way, I've spotted some vultures out in Coyote Canyon and I'm hoping I'll see some this weekend!  World Bird Wednesday for February 29, 2012.  To visit WBW, please go to:   http://pineriverreview.blogspot.com/2012/02/world-bird-wednesday-lxvii.html

I can watch gulls all day! I'm not sure if we had discovered each other when I did some posts about Laguna Beach. If not, here are the links, if you aren't interested or don't have the time, no problem!

I love seagulls. But I know a lot of people who live by the coast sure don't. They are so beautiful when they are flying.

You certainly live in a beautiful part of the world. Must be lovely being a photographer there. Since you are a Robbie Robertson fan I wonder if you've seen The Last Waltz? The film of The Band's last concert. Awesome, and filmed by Scorsese no less!
