Meadowlark~Wild Bird Wednesday~032013

I've been trying to get a photo of a meadowlark for about three years now, but every time I stop, the little bugger flies off!  However, last weekend up in Garner Valley, out of Fobes Road, this little guy didn't mind having his photo taken.   In fact, he allowed me to stop my car right across from his perch on the barbed wire.  Isn't he a cute little thing?  Wild Bird Wednesday for March 20, 2013.   To visit Wild Bird Wednesday, please go to:    http://paying-ready-attention-gallery.blogspot.com/

Oh those shy and elusive birds can be frustrating. For the longest time, our Magpies did not want to be photographed. I think it's because they are in a gang and don't want to be identified. They sometimes behave like little thugs against the other birds.
